My Dear Friends in Christ,

What an honor it is to be in my 28th year as Pastor of the historic Ingleside Presbyterian Church as we prepare to celebrate out 100th year of continuous Christian Ministry in the great city of San Francisco. To think of the vision and courage of those who in faith dared to step out in faith and begin this ministry, is awesome.

The City was desperately seeking renewal following the devastation of the 1906 Earthquake and destructive fires, when on June 24th, 1907, The Rev. W.E.Dugan organized the Ingleside Sabbath School, assisted by Missionary Laura Sawhill. From this "Seed of Hope" a Church family evolved, and on March 10, 1910, the Ingleside Congregation was officially organized with 29 charter members.

The Ingleside Ministry has experienced many challenging moments over these many years, but God has faithfully made a way. The Cornerstone to the church facility, accurately capsulizes the reason for our staying power: "Other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ" (1st Corinthians, 3:11).

The Ingleside Presbyterian Church Ministry was founded on "The Rock", depends on "The Rock" and belongs to "The Rock", even Jesus Christ our Lord.
